Delatraz in AshenvaleThe day before, Elloa, the Darnassus Lady has received a word from one of their watchers, Silos, warned her that the horde would come in the forest: orcs and one undead called Deadjeaster…or something like that. The evening, when the stars began to shine in the night sky, the young priestess gathers some of their Sentinel in Astranaar. Unfortunately, the commander Arin was sent in expedition, and could not lead the troupes. Elloa was everything except a commander.
She sent a patrol composed by Arafina, Maylin and Khelmion to scout the forest in the area close the Barrens. She wait a long time, and the distress began to feel her heart, what had happen to them ? During this time of waiting, alone in the city of Astrannar, the sentinels and watchers arrived and she sent with a lot of anguish Adora at the rescue of the first patrol.
They finally met on the bridge: a group of hordies were in the forest, and attacked them. What there were doing, they didn’t know…but after having recover their spirit and cure their injuries, Maylin, Arafina and Khelmion lost them.
Elloa, felt of dubt ordered the troups to move, one were sent on the Warsong Lumber Camp Road, the other to the Barrens Road. As soon as the party was separated, Elloa felt something wrong happened; they go back, followed the way taken by the other group and met face to face with Delatraz and his own troupes. It was too late to attempt anything, the fight was lose before having began: the hordes were to numerous, and the other Sentinel patrol probably knock out, face on the ground somewhere along the road.
It was enough. When the sentinel recover their strength, Elloa tried to remember the way of command the troupes of her commander, and gather the Sentinel for a charge : Unaatra, Ollahar, Adora, Maylin, Astaldo, Siandris, Khelmion , Serafina and the ambassador Arafina and the demonhuntress Sharna were there, ready to follow the Orgrimmar troupes and to fight them, showing them how it’s to make troubles in the Kaldorei’s forest.
Hidden in the shadow of the trees, they advanced slowly until the Gate of Barrens and waited there. But Elloa saw an elf she know, someone who one day had join her Sentinels before leaving it, hit by a soldier of Delatraz. She could not stay hidden in the shadow, and run to give her the cures she needed. Then the fight happened…A fight not prepared, a fight not well organised, but Sentinels finally win the battle.
- Deajeaster ! yelled Mist after having be resurrected by the priestess “I’ll catch you ! He is for meeeeee!”
The Sentinels stop to run after Delatraz troupes. The young Elloa proposed to take another way than the usual road, and see if this ugly persons were in Cross Road where they will given them a lesson : not forget that the forest belong to the elves.
They run in the savannah, passed through a centaur camp, and arrived before the gates of the little village.
- Cover me, said Elloa
She walked slowly in the enemy town, enclosed herself in the light of Elune. She didn’t felt the hit given by the guard and during she walked, her valiant sentinels and watchers protected her with their own body. The light of Elune fallen from the sky, cured their injuries, and when the guards approached to close, Elloa yelled a psychic stream which feared them. She wanted just advance in the town, even if everyone wanted to stop her, she continued…She wanted to see Delatras in his eyes, and just say : “You will never come back again in our forest. Never.”
But she never had the time of pronounce the words. The egg of light which protected her be broken under the hit of the guards and hordies. The Sentinels began to be vanquished…it was time to go home…
Later in Darnassus, Tracer which had been outlier of the battle tell to Elloa before disappear in the shadow that she had been foolish of having lead her troupes in Cross Road and that fact proved her lack of leadership. But he had not understand…Elloa had never been a military leader…War, battle were something unknown for this young priestess. She had never desire made a massacre in Cross road, she just wanted make know to Delatraz that elves were not afraid by them, that SHE was not afraid by them, and that they will never, never, never stopped her to protect Kaldorei’s homeland. Before felt asleep in her bed she deeply though about what happened in the village. She hoped that the image of the walking priestess unfeared by the heavy axes hit would have marked the spirit of Delatraz and ake him remember about the persistence of children of Stars.
